Morse Code Rapid Eye Movements
I have been training myself to blink in Morse Code patterns and have started writing a new plugin for Lucid Scribe that can decode the patterns in hope that I can transcribe live from within a dream one day. The featured minute from my latest debugging session shows 24 blinks that translate to the first few letters that I can type just by blinking.

Audio Tracks During REM Sleep
Four tracks played within six minutes: two of the tracks can be seen in the featured minute and I distinctly remember when the second one played. The rush from knowing that the world around me was a dream can clearly be seen in the seconds that followed. I tried to control my eye movements for the first time, but the effect I was hoping for did not make it across.

Another track played in the morning and woke me up during REM sleep, feeling very refreshed.

Preparation: chewed a few calea leaves.

I went to bed very late and started dreaming exactly ten minutes after I lay down. The track played a minute into the dream which continued for another 3 minutes. 13 blinks can be seen in the minute above before the track played.

The blinks were too weak to activate the audio track, but the heartbeat reading is very clear throughout the entire recording. 16 REM blinks can be seen in the featured minute along with 74 heartbeats – much faster than usual.

Six blinks can be seen again before the audio track played and induced a few seconds of lucidity. Another track played an hour and twenty minutes later when the next REM phase was detected and I was able to remain airborne for almost a minute.

There are two distinct classes of eye movements that I have been observing. There are the solid blinks, five of which can be seen in the first twenty seconds of the minute above, that peak for over a thousand milliseconds.

Then there are the twitches, six of which can be seen in the second half, that barely last a hundred milliseconds. I suspect that some are lost because the resolution (10 FPS) is too low; there was probably one before and one after the four twitches in the middle.
