The audio track played after six blinks and woke me up. A wave can be seen at the end that I have noticed a few times before when waking up and remaining perfectly still. I waited patiently for the visions to return to no avail.

I came up with this exact same idea, even using morse code, just last week. I decided it would become a major life goal to develop a technology around this.
Fuck you. =(
I had the idea just over a decade ago. Perhaps you can create a better implementation, or become proficient at it with my tools and find a way to take it to the next level from there?
Fantastic! Love the attitude. Are you able to use the sensors with the Halograph to map brainwaves as well? I am very interested for another application of this hardware. It has the right form-factor and the headphones makes it ideal for something I am interested in working on. Any chance you might be interested in discussing?
Thanks for your research.
Sure! And, err, thanks.
The halograph FM is just an accelerometer, but it is sensitive enough to pick up the heartbeat and can thus easily detect rapid eye movements. I did have an EEG version of the halograph planned; I dabbled in the OpenEEG project for the longest time but could never see past the noise, so I have shelved it for now.
I have written Lucid Scribe plugins for the Emotiv EPOC and NeuroSky MindSet, but the plugins are still in beta and have not been tested yet as I don’t have either of the devices… I just used the SDKs. George from Emotiv managed to get one of his devices to connect, but he had to manually copy his edk.dll across because of a licensing issue that I hope to still resolve.
I am very interested in discussing what you are working on! You are welcome to send me an email through the lucidcode contact page if you would like to take it offline.
