REM Lucid Dream
I became lucid naturally, the old-fashioned way. So when the track played the euphoria and confidence doubled. But I flew too high too fast and the dream started fading very quickly. 

Three blinks can be seen before the anthem, then some strained eye movements followed by another four blinks.

REM during a Dream.
The track played within a minute of the onset of REM – after 8 blinks, and the dream lasted for almost 3 minutes, although the effect of the anthem is not noticeable on the eye movements.

Effects of Pranayama on Heartbeat
I wrote a new plugin that outlines breathing patterns that can be followed with no need for any hardware. This is my first test run; the line shows the level at which my lungs were filled. The selected minute shows a brief inhalation with the heartbeat climbing to distribute the fresh air, then a long retention and finally an exhalation to a ratio of 1:4:2. I managed to keep this up for a good 30 minutes. 

Strangely enough, my heart rate went up over the course of the session. I counted 62 beats in the first minute and 71 beats in the last. I guess I need to keep practicing! Then again, considering that I had less than a breath per minute for over half an hour, it is a good start.

I can sometimes see a 30 second wave-like pattern in the intensity of the blinks; two such waves can be seen in the featured minute.

The nine peaks in the minute above are part of seven phases of REM that occured during a ten minute window where the blinking started and stopped roughly every thirty to sixty seconds. The track had played twenty minutes earlier, but I have no memory of it.

REM Pattern

REM Sleep Pattern
Another one slipped by. Now that I finally have the playlist functionality implemented, I need to rework the REM detection algorithm in light of all the dreams I have recorded since I wrote the first version. 

Fourteen very solid blinks can be seen in the minute above taken from a dream that lasted over ten minutes. A lot of the blinks drop below the 800 line inside of the blink, which is what is throwing the algorithm off. This can be seen in blinks 5, 6, 7 and 9.

Calea

REM Sleep with Calea Zacatechichi
Around six rapid eye movements can be seen after the vibrations. This is one of only two 30-second REM phases recorded during the night. 

Preparation: added boiling water to a cup with a teaspoon of Calea leaves and let it soak until cool.

I have had great success with the tea inducing long, vivid and lucid dreams in the past, so I will have to try again soon.

REM Sleep with Mugwort
The track interrupted the rapid eye movements after which the dream continued for another two minutes, although I have no memory of it. 

Preparation: boiled two tablespoons of Mugwort in two cups of water for 10 minutes until half a cup was left.
